404 page · eyes follow you · finds the right link

Found the link.
Most 404 pages just say sorry. This one looks for what you meant. The face follows your pointer and blinks, and it compares the broken address with the real pages on the site to suggest the closest one. Type a broken link below and watch it think. It is also the real 404 page on zainspire.com.
How it finds the link
Edit distance, not guessing
The broken path is compared with every real page using Damerau-Levenshtein distance, which counts the typing mistakes between two words: a missing letter, an extra letter, two letters swapped. The page with the fewest mistakes wins, if it is close enough.
How the face moves
One rAF loop, eased
The pupils ease toward the pointer every frame instead of jumping, so they feel heavy and alive. When you stop moving they look around on their own, and they blink at random gaps like a real face does.
